Madrona is bordered on north by Denny Blaine beyond which is Washington Park, Broadmoor, and Madison Park – all within 2 miles of Madrona. Denny Blaine, Washington Park, and Broadmoor are nearly 100% residential and feature some of Seattle’s most significant homes. Madison Park is also a highly desirable neighborhood with a small town atmosphere business district as well as a well known beach and park. To the west of Madrona lies what is generally referred to as the Central District which is one of Seattle’s most racially and ethnically diverse neighborhoods. The Central District has businesses along several streets including Union Street, Cherry Street, MLK Jr. Way, and 23rd Avenue. To the south of Madrona is the neighborhood of Leschi beyond which is Mount Baker. Both Leschi and Mt. Baker have small business districts and large residential areas that include homes that have views of Lake Washington.
