Very Merry in Madrona

MadronaAs I wrote a couple weeks ago, the Very Merry in Madrona is coming this weekend.  I will be blogging more about it as the week goes on, but mark you calendars because it should be a fun weekend in Madrona.  The weekend includes extended hours of the Madrona retail stores on both Friday and Saturday.  On Saturday things kick off at 11 AM with the Madrona Bronze Ring Project Celebration and then throughout the day there will be hot cider and cocoa, free wine tastings, live music, special holiday sales, children activities, and recycle truck photos.  The day will be capped off with a candlelight walk down to Madrona Beach where there will be a bonfire and the Seattle holiday (aka Christmas) ships.  The Christmas Ships will be at Madrona Beach / Park from 9:25 to 9:45 PM.

You can check out the official Very Merry in Madrona Facebook page as well.

Be Merry in Madrona!

Madrona Tree SculptureThe second annual “Be Merry in Madrona” is December 2nd (Friday) and 3rd (Saturday) this year.  Events are still being planned but in general the shops and restaurants in the Madrona Business District will have sales and extended hours for the holiday shopping season.  In addition, there will be a ribbon cutting that Saturday morning for the Madrona Rings and the Christmas Ships will be coming to Madrona Park / Madrona Beach that night.  There is talk of several other events such as a hot chocolate stand by the Madrona Community Council and cooperative open houses by local Seattle real agents holding many of the Madrona home for sales open for viewing for the public.  Stay tuned!
