Garfield Community Toy Drive Now Through Dec 7th

The Garfield Community Center on 23rd & East Cherry has kicked off it’s annual Holiday toy drive which will run now through December 7th. The drive will collect toys for children of families in the community in need, and every year the Community Center hosts a nice holiday party for up to 200 children; they make sure no child goes home empty handed. The community center had teamed up with Associated Recreational Council to host this year’s drive and encourages local businesses, community organizations, and individuals to drop off any unwrapped or wrapped toys at the Garfield Community Center.

The toys are for Children ages 0-12, and they ask that you please label toys that are wrapped for gender/age. You may also make cash donations, as they will be purchasing new toys for those in need as well. For more information, call Garfield Community Center at 206-684-4788 or stop by during regular operating hours (Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.). Tis the season to be giving!
