Summer Rose Days Launch Party at Bottlehouse

I’m mostly a Pinot Noir and Malbec kind of gal, but nothing screams summer quite like a nice glass of Rose; better yet, a fine glass of Rose on Bottlehouse’s outdoor patio. This Friday June 21st, Madrona’s favored wine curators are launching their “Summer Rose Days” series with free tastings of 12+ hand picked Rose wines, and there will be a DJ  entertaining from 6pm until the festivities die down later in the night. If you aren’t able to attend the launch party, never fear, Bottlehouse will be offering 10 glass pours of various styles of Rose throughout summer, ask for the latest whenever you arrive. bottlehouse

Seattle Weekly Names Bottlehouse as #6 Wine Bar in Seattle

Where are the top wine bars in Seattle, and what qualities does one find in the classiest of wine bars? Seattle Weekly has put together a top 10 list of the best of the best; hot spots  around the sound that are definitely not pretentious, stuffy, or boring by any means. Guess which Madrona haunt was name #6? That’s right; our favored Bottlehouse has made the cut due to it’s comfortable, drink a nice glass or two in your own living room kind of appeal. The wine poured from downstairs neighbor Wilridge winery are a regular’s delight, and the rotating list is sure to have something to please every palate.

Seattle Weekly mentioned the deck seating as a lovely feature, weather permitting, and the perks of having the retail shop connected if you taste something you really need to take home with you are leverage enough to land Bottlehouse in the number 6 slot. One Night Only Project Comes To Madrona

Photo Courtesy of One Night Only Project

Last weekend, you may have heard about all the hype in Woodinville, when Skillet Founder Josh Henderson knocked the socks off of guests attending the first of the ultra private series of One Night Only dinners, created by Julien Perry and Melissa Peterman. They created the series to give diners an insider experience unlike anything they could experience outside of that evening; an experience that cannot, and will not ever be repeated. One Night only will run twice a month, matching a top notch local chef with a wine-maker brewer, or other alcohol extraordinaire, and the tickets certainly run a hefty price for this one of a kind experience, between $150-250 per person.

The next dinner will be held on August 26th at Madrona’s Bottlehouse, where Manu Alfau will host a Dominican Christmas feast, to help raise awareness for his new Caribbean sandwich shop in Pioneer Square, and Rob Roy’s Anu Apte will pair drinks. If you’re interested in tickets for this dinner, or want more information on upcoming nights, visit the One Night Only Project.
