It’s time to get back in the swing of things for fall in the neighborhood, and this month’s Madrona Community Council meeting will be held next Tuesday, September 8. As always, the meeting will be held at the Madrona Shelterhouse at 7:15 p.m. Stay tuned for the meeting agenda, and have a great Labor Day weekend, everyone!
This month’s Madrona Community Council meeting is taking place tonight, Feb. 3, at the Madrona Park shelterhouse. Join the council and your neighbors to discuss the following topics:
- A community letter opposing marijuana shops in the surrounding neighborhood
- Discussion of sending a letter to the City regarding future funding for the “Trees and Sidewalks” plan
- Updates on Neighborhood Appreciation Day, Kraus Fund scholarship applications, Madrona Mayfair, etc.
- Budget report
- New business: Amara property, participation in the Madison Bus Rapid Transit study and ongoing issues with Metro
The Shelterhouse is located at 3211 E Spring St. The meeting begins at 7:15 p.m.
