Donate Your Gently Used Books to Madrona K-8

Books HD

Friday, June 6 is Madrona K-8’s “Drop Everything And Read” day, when students will get to carry their favorite book with them all day, and when the bell rings – drop everything and read for 10 minutes! As part of the event, the school is also collecting book donations, and they need your help to gather enough books to send each student home with five books for summer reading.

Check your bookshelves at home for kids’ and young adult books you would like to donate, and drop them off at the school’s main entrance between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from May 27 through June 3. Five books per student means they’ll need to gather 1,500 books, so everyone’s help is needed!

Madrona K-8 Open Gym

Madrona SchoolOn Sunday, November 4 from 11:00 – 1:00, Madrona K-8 will be opening its school gym for an indoor play date. Kids 6 and under are welcome to play. Madrona K-8 have some balls and riding toys–feel free to bring other toys to the gym.

This is a great opportunity to meet current Madrona Elementary families, incoming families, and the principal Ms. Farah Thaxton. Plus, it’s an indoor play space on what will likely be a rainy, blustery day.
